Elon Musk has come up with several odd concepts that at first seemed like jokes but later came to pass. From flamethrowers and tequila, now onto the beer. Musk revealed that Tesla would be producing its own beer during the opening of the Gigafactory Berlin project. The Tesla Beer was formally introduced:
“Tesla GigaBier is designed to emulate the form of Cybertruck while honoring the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot beermaking,” the company writes on its GigaBier webpage. “Enjoy this limited edition pilsner-style beer brewed in Berlin with our exclusive strain of Cyberhops and notes of citrus, bergamot and sweet fruit. Each bottle features a seamless gloss black sleeve with a glow-in-the-dark Giga watermark. Prost!”
Tesla also produced Tesla Tequila a few years ago, and it quickly sold out. GigaBier is the company’s second beverage effort. Two batches of Tesla’s aejo tequila were sold, and both sold out quickly. On eBay and other websites, used bottles might be purchased for more than $1,000.
The Tesla Beer won’t be sold in the United States just yet, despite Tesla having applied to have the product registered with the USPTO. The three-pack, which is now being sold in Europe for €89 ($97.06), is built in Germany. The 330ml or little more than 11 oz can of Tesla’s GigaBier has a 5 percent ABV.
Currently, the GigaBier is not available in the United States, so customers in Tesla’s base country will have to be patient and wait for further updates regarding the product’s availability.
