TOGG is a new car brand coming from Turkey. Founded in 2018, the company presented two models that are currently in production, one SUV and one sedan. Namely, both of these will have an eight-year battery warranty and level 2 autonomous driving assist. Vehicles should come in 300 km and 500 km battery ranges (190 / 310 miles)
Looking at the photos from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the sedan looks stunning. It is somewhat reminiscent of Polestar 2, although the edges have finer curves. The LED strips in the front along with an illuminated logo on the bonnet add for a nice touch.
TOGG will build C-segment sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in the first phase, followed by C-segment sedans, C-segment hatchbacks, B-segment SUVs, and C-segment multi-purpose vehicles in the second phase.
TOGG car will be constructed at a completely new site in Gemlik, Bursa province, south of Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city. TOGG started construction on the facility last year, and when it’s finished, it’ll be able to produce 175,000 automobiles every year. Gürcan Karakaş, CEO of Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG), has stated that the first Turkish car’s batteries will be made locally.
